Kays Medical, a supplier of health and safety
products, equipment, and training services, has acquired medical
equipment supplier DM Wood Medical. Terms of the
deal were not disclosed. The acquisition sees DM Wood Medical
become part of the Kays group retaining its Aberdeen offices. DM
Wood’s owner David Wood remains with the enlarged company as
operations director.
Ironmongery products supplier IronmongeryDirect
has appointed four new product managers as part of its plans to
increase the portfolio from 11,500 to 20,000 lines within five
years. Jennifer King, Matthew Allen, Martin Smith, and Jamie
Johnson join senior product manager Paul White.
Seems the Middletons are fair game as far as the media are
concerned. A very smug piece in the Telegraph gloats about Party
Pieces not needing its 20,000 sq ft warehouse.
Straight plc, the environmental products and
services group, has acquired the remaining 70 percent of
Tapmagic, a distributor of water-saving tap
inserts for basin taps. Straight originally acquired 30 percent
of Tapmagic in March 2007 for £35,000, the remaining shares
were acquired last week for a further £92,000.
