Following its expansion onto the Amazon.com marketplace in the US
this past April, London-based apparel retailer Savile Row Co has
seen growth of 120 percent between May and June.
The £17 million retailer was already successfully listing
its casual and formalwear ranges on Amazon.co.uk and eBay.co.uk
using ChannelAdvisor’s Marketplaces and Comparison Shopping
services when it decided to look for opportunities to grow its
online business. Following a strategic discussion, it decided to
pursue expansion into the US market through Amazon.com to
increase visibility, brand awareness and revenue.
Mkwama Ndeti, Savile Row Co’s marketing manager, says that
following the Amazon.com expansion the company’s ecommerce
business “accelerated to a level that we have never before
experienced”. The expansion has gone so well, she adds,
that Savile Row Co will soon expand to list on eBay
Australia.
