99p Stores which was acquired by Poundland in 2015 has entered administration. Poundland had rebranded a number of the 99p Stores outlets it acquired and closed a number in locations that were already served by a Poundland store. The remaining 60 stores had been marketed without success. The closure will not impact any employees nor, it is understood, will this have any adverse effect on the Poundland business which is owned by South African group Steinhoff.
