Aldi has said that it will invest £1 billion to extend its store coverage within the M25 zone over the next year following the 11 per cent rise in UK sales, to £11.3 billion, it posted for the year to December 31st. It currently has 45 stores within the M25 area and aims for 100 more as well as a further 100 stores in other UK regions.
Meanwhile, the retailer is to use AO World for deliveries of customer orders of large items from its Special buys range, having entered into a three-year arrangement which will offer customers the greater convenience of more weekend delivery options.
