Amazon has announced plans to build a technology hub in Cambridge to support its growth. The new facility will house around 400 engineers and scientists and is expected to be operational this coming Autumn. Amazon’s CEO for worldwide consumer retail said of the move “The UK is such a great place to recruit. For us it’s a place we will continue to invest in heavily.” The business says it will have some 24,000 full time employees in the UK by year end.
