Amazon is set to open a new fulfilment centre in Leeds at the Gateway 45 site in November. The centre will supplement an existing one in Wakefield.
Amazon regional director Richard Thompson said: “West Yorkshire is an important region for Amazon, with more than 3,800 small and medium-sized enterprise selling partners, and I am pleased to confirm our ongoing commitment with this £500m investment in a new state-of-the-art fulfilment centre in Leeds.”
The new site is expected to create 2000 new jobs.
