Amazon puts full weight behind fashion launch

It is now full steam ahead for Amazon with Find, its own brand fashion line which launched yesterday (4th September 2017) following a soft launch and trial in May.

The Find range developed under the wing of Frances Russell, former M&S womenswear head and Glen George,  a former buyer for Primark, comes to market with an initial 500 lines for women and 200 for men which are competing against the many fashion brands which sell on its marketplace. As one would expect, the range is keenly priced but is fashion-led rather than bog-standard bargain basement in nature. With ownership of Europe’s largest photography studio, located in London’s Shoreditch, the Amazon fashion team is supported by super-swift production support and could very easily begin to steal a march on its less agile competitors.

Find is being heavily promoted through Instagram and Facebook targeting UK and European customers. In the US, Amazon already has the number two place for clothing sales, overtaking the likes of Macy’s.
