Amazon is increasing its fees to UK and EU sellers who use its FBA* service from May 12th. The increase of 4.3 per cent comes at a particularly difficult time for retailers as consumer demand plummets in response to market uncertainties, product shortages and general inflation. *FBA – Fulfilment by Amazon.
Many retailers are understood to be looking to reduce their dependence on Amazon, are testing other 3rd party fulfilment services as well as marketplaces which offer lower fees and are more adept at reaching territories which Amazon does not serve.
