Amazon to create 2500 new UK jobs


Amazon says it is expanding its workforce in the UK with the recruitment of further software developers, technicians and engineers at all levels of experience. In addition it plans to recruit more staff for its Edinburgh based customer service centre as well as for its fashion photography studio in London and its fulfilment centres.

Doug Gurr, who heads the UK & Ireland operations for Amazon said: “The UK is a fantastic place to do business”. Adding that the UK was important as a consumer market and as a source of talent that could contribute to the growth of Amazon. The business expects to employ 27,500 people in the UK by the end of 2018.
