Amazon is to launch its first ‘4-star’ store in the UK. It has chosen Bluewater in Kent which, along with selling lines that are rated four-star and above on its website, it will also host guest products based on its ‘wish list’ feature. An area in the store will also be set aside for order collections and returns.
Andy Jones, UK director Amazon 4-star said: “Convenience is part of the store offer”, adding that the 3500 sq.ft. shop will stock around 2000 products in total with customers able to scan QR codes and be billed via their account or pay in-store using the shop’s counters.
Amazon already operates around 30 of these stores in the USA but would not confirm how many are planned for the UK.
