Employees at seven Amazon sites in Germany have been called out on strike by Verdi, the labour union which is pressing for better pay and conditions for workers in Amazon’s distribution centres. The strikes have been timed to coincide with Prime Day. A further six-hour strike of workers at an Amazon fulfilment centre in Shakopee, Minnesota is also planned for July 15th.
