Rumours circulating about Amazon’s apparent interest in acquiring AO World haev been doing the rounds for a week or so and had reached the City & Finance column of the Daily Mail by October 29th.. Will they, won’t they ? There is certainly a strong case for Amazon buying AO to gain dominance of the UK white goods market and, if it the business succeeds in making a similar impact in Germany, it would seem to be a pretty interesting proposition. Cannot see founder & CEO John Roberts letting his shareholding go for a song. Watch this space.
