AO World has acquired certain assets, including the IP rights and websites of A1 Comms, from administrators at SFP Restructuring. The websites, affordablemobiles, buymobiles and mobileshop will expand AO’s mobile phone business whilst securing 73 jobs. A1 Comms had achieved revenues of £152m to y/e April 2022.
AO World had previously said that its mobile phone business was an area of focus in its second half, having had a negative impact on its overall H1 interim results.
