AO World is trialling making deliveries of non-electrical products for third parties in its fleet of green vans. The online retailer has also opened three additional outbases in Telford, Luton and Coventry, bringing the total to seventeen.
CEO Steve Caunce said: “This will help ensure resilience in our delivery network and maintain our market leading product availability for customers, whilst reducing stem mileage and improving efficiencies in our logistics division.”
The business is also developing its premium installation service which offers the removal of old built in appliances and the delivery and installation of those bought to replace them. This service is covered in a single visit.
