Morrisons has appointed former eBay and Sainsbury’s director,
Amanda Metcalfe, as first digital marketing director to propel the marketing of
its online grocery business which launches in January.

Mark Lewis joins John Lewis in March as online director.
Mark spent six years at eBay in roles including UK managing director and European
marketplaces director prior to becoming chief executive at CollectPlus. At John
Lewis he will drive further innovation across John Lewis’ website and
omni-channel offerings.

Debenhams has promoted director of information systems,
Peter Swann, to the newly created role of operations director. Peter was
previously WHSmith’s group IT director and online operations leader.

Clarks, the footwear retailer, has appointed Thomas O’Neill,
the former president of Burberry, as chairman from January 6, as Peter Davies completes
the term of his role.

IronmongeryDirect has appointed Raja Samikannu as senior
purchasing manager. Samikannu joins the company from Anders Electronics where
he worked for 2 ½ years as purchasing manager. He has 14 years’ purchasing experience
and previously worked in procurement at Hewlett PackardAustralia and Singapore.

John Gaukroger has joined sports fashion retail company JD Sports
as head of multichannel for the Blacks Leisure Group brand from Joe Browns where
he was head of ecommerce.

Hackett Ltd, the men’s and boy’s luxury clothing and
accessories retailer has appointed Kristine Kirby as ecommerce director. She
was most recently managing director at Zulily.

Former TOAST ecommerce manager, Caroline Grootjans, has
taken up the role of head of ecommerce at Wheelies Direct, the online retailer
of bikes and bike accessories.

Jessica Perry is now account director at Dupree Creative
having moved from Ideal Shopping Direct where she was head of marketing.

CMS Network UK has appointed Mark Calladine as sales
director. Calladine has been managing director at Romax Marketing and Distribution.

Patrice Bendon has been appointed by Dun and Bradstreet as
product marketing manager. She was previously head of client services at
Transactis.

Tangible, has promoted Karen Trickett from chief operating
officer to CEO and Nick Banbury has moved to the agency’s Edinburgh office from
Greater Data in New South Wales.

Google is further building the retail knowledge behind its
global brand. Peter Fitzgerald has been appointed country sales director after
departing his role as non-executive director at Debenhams and is now the main point
of call at Google for retailers. Meanwhile Jamie Murray Wells, the founder of
Glasses Direct, has been appointed industry manager.
