Argos workers strike action

Over a thousand warehouse workers represented by Unison, at an Argos distribution centre in Castleford, were planning to walk out in a bid to have their working terms and conditions reviewed. This follows 24 house strikes on 15th June and the 4th July. The week-long strike threat was timed to disrupt the fulfilment of high levels of customer orders expected immediately following distribution of the Argos Autumn/Winter catalogue to its stores.
