288 Asda head office employees were made redundant yesterday and asked to immediately clear their desks of private possessions. The majority were based in Leeds but the cull included a number of Leicester based roles. In addition to this measure Asda has also amended the job descriptions and requirements of a further 800 staff as it strives to compete in a very tough market which has seen its sales fall for 11 consecutive quarters.
