ASDA is working on plans for a 2015 overhaul of its online offering. Currently operating three separate online stores, groceries, George fashion & home, and ASDA Direct, it will merge 80 per cent of its ASDA Direct lines into either its groceries or is George sites to consolidate and simplify the offering to customers. It will also increase the number of Click & collect locations to 600, from 400 and expand its Drive – Thru Click and Collect points to 200, with its same day Click & Collect service extended to a further 100 sites.
ASDA also plans to trial a new temperature controlled collection pod system, from the Netherlands, to enable customers to collect orders around the clock.
