ASOS first half sales, to 29 February, increased by 21 per cent to total £667.3 million. Of this total, the UK posted a 25 per cent rise, with international markets contributing an 18 per cent rise. Pre-tax profits rose by 18 per cent to reach £21.2 million. Revenue growth was largely attributed to growth in active customer numbers, now standing at 10.9 million and 21 per cent growth in visits to the ASOS sites along with an increase in average basket values. Mobile was a strong contributor, responsible for 60 per cent of traffic, borne out by the 3.2 million app downloads during the half year compared against 2.5 million in the previous year.
