Asos rationalises US fulfilment operations

As ASOS continues to rationalise the cost of its operations, whilst better serving its US customers, it is making changes to its fulfilment activity.

As part of this, it will be putting its Atlanta distribution centre up for sale later this year. It is currently working on a planned closure of the automated facility and will transfer US order handling back to its Barnsley, UK fulfilment centre whilst opening a very much smaller US facility to handle returns. It is also planning to launch its ‘Partner Fulfils’ arrangement in the US. This will take place in H2 FY25.

ASOS has seven direct employees in Atlanta as well as several hundred who are employed by its US logistics partners who will be working to redeploy as many as possible.
