ASOS recovers well from Buncefield explosion

ASOS recovers well from Buncefield explosion has announced that it now has over a million registered users to its site, up from 675,000 at the same period last year. Sales are up 93 per cent as the “result of the investment made last year in our buying and merchandising teams and the subsequent increase in the number of products available from 1500 12 months ago to 4000 now,” said Nick Robertson, CEO at the company’s recent AGM. Stockbrokers, Investec Securities estimate that ASOS’s turnover for the end of the financial year 2007 will reach £35.3 million up from £18.8m in the year to March 2006.
