ASOS was another strong beneficiary of Black Friday and Cyber Monday trading which helped take its sales for the three months to November 30th, 2014, to £252 million. Sales in the UK rose by 24 per cent for the quarter with international sales falling by 2 per cent over the same period last year. Investment in international pricing solutions has enabled the business to begin to counter and smooth out exchange rate fluctuations caused by the strength of Sterling against other currencies. The brunt of this had previously impacted demand with ASOS losing its competitive edge in some countries, including Australia where it had been making strong progress.
