ASOS has now terminated its contract with the employment agency Transline which it had used, via XPO Logistics, to source temporary staff for its distribution centre in Barnsley. The same agency had been used by Sports Direct and Amazon, both of which have also cancelled their contracts. All three retail businesses had come under fire following media exposure of the agency’s poor treatment of workers deployed to fulfil their respective customers’ orders.
