Assisi Pet Care has acquired devon-based natural pet food brand Forthglade for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Okehampton, Forthglade produces minimally processed wet and dry dog food, alongside a range of natural treats.
The business has been backed by IK Partners since the private equity firm acquired a majority stake in 2020.
The deal marks a significant step in Assisi Pet Care’s strategy to build a leading European business in premium, natural pet care. Assisi’s portfolio also includes Burns Pet Nutrition, which it acquired in 2023.
