Waitrose shoppers will be able to do their banking when buying their groceries as plans progress for the retailer to host automated banking kiosks in selected branches of the supermarket. This follows an 8 store trial by Barclays with Asda. Barclays is closing a number of its branches in order to reduce its headcount and reduce operating costs.
