Barclays trial of collection lockers in its banking halls – currently in the London area – could potentially be rolled out to 1500 locations, according to reports. The trial initially involves Amazon which is along in offering customers the option of collecting from Barclays but could potentially also be extended to other retailers. This will provide a new revenue stream for the Barclays branch network as well as a collection location perceived to be very secure by consumers.
