BeCheeky secures funding for growth

Lingerie etailer has raised its first round of funding from the YFM Group, an investor in the small and midsize enterprise marketplace managed by South West Ventures Fund, private investors and online retailer entrepreneur Quentin Griffiths. founder Griffiths had initially backed founders James and Sarah Akin Smith in early 2006.

Dorset-based BeCheeky has already begun to use the funds to move to larger premises, relaunch the website and introduce new ranges and seasonal products. It has also made a number of key appointments. Matt Stevens, formerly a marketing boss at bicycle accessories website, has joined as director of marketing, and Andrea Hart joined from as buying director.
