Best Buy enters next phase of digital commerce with Checkout.com

Checkout.com, a digital payments company, has announced it will support Best Buy with the next phase of the retailer’s Marketplace payments infrastructure.

Best Buy has evolved its strategy to meet more of customers’ technology needs by expanding its assortment by launching Best Buy Marketplace, which allows third-party sellers to seamlessly integrate their products into BestBuy.com and the Best Buy App.

As Best Buy continues to advance its digital commerce business, the company is modernising the payments infrastructure behind it. Teaming up with Checkout.com gives Best Buy a flexible foundation to extend its reach to a broader seller base.

Through this work, Checkout.com will provide card acquiring and debit routing capabilities, supported by flexible payments technology built to adapt as Best Buy’s needs evolve. This will support Best Buy Marketplace’s current payment flows while giving its team a foundation for future payment methods, geographies, and commerce models.

Checkout.com will deliver dedicated enterprise support and industry expertise to help Best Buy navigate the complexities of various digital channels and settlement flows.

Antoine Nougué, Chief Revenue Officer at Checkout.com, comments: “Best Buy has built a trusted experience to help customers navigate increasingly complex technology purchases. We’re proud to support the next phase of that evolution with modular technology, AI-powered payment optimization, and a hands-on approach to continued innovation and growth.”
