The brand and assets of BetterBathrooms have been acquired from administrators FRP Advisory by BuyIt Direct. The new owners plan to trade the brand and create 45 jobs. BetterBathrooms had traded from 13 showrooms and two trade counters. 362 staff had been employed across the retailer’s stores, head office, distribution, and customer service centres. The deal is understood to have produced some funds for creditors.
Buy It Direct managing director Nick Glynne commented: “The BetterBathrooms business will complement our other successful home brands, Appliances Direct and Furniture 123,” adding: “We hope to start trading again later this month and now focused on resurrecting and developing the brand to demonstrate exceptional value to customers.”
