Bid Shopping adds direct despatch functionality


Bid shopping, the owner of shopping channels Bid TV, Price-drop
TV and Speed Auction TV, is now able to despatch customer orders
directly from its suppliers via a direct despatch service from
Kewill.

The agreement sees Kewill use its web-based supply chain tracking
and event management software to support Bid Shopping’s direct
despatch model, where goods ordered by customers via its TV and
online shopping channels are shipped directly from the
supplier.

The TV shopping specialist says direct despatch is vital to its
strategy going forward as it allows greater efficiencies with the
supply base to support its future growth through increased
volumes, as well as meeting customer expectations through speedy
on-time deliveries.

The Kewill system provides real time visibility of critical data
and status management throughout the entire order process.
Implementation will commence immediately, with the service
expected to be fully operational by early 2013.
