Private equity funds managed by Blackstone have announced the acquisition of Ideal Shopping Direct from Inflexion. The transaction is expected to close later this year.
Headquartered in Peterborough ISD, a TV shopping specialist which operates in the UK and the USA, employs over 800 people and reaches some 26 million homes via its TV networks. The incumbent management team led by Mike Hancox as CEO will continue to run the business with Gerry Murphy, a senior managing director from Blackstone taking the role of chairman.
