Wyevale has agreed terms to sell eight of its largest garden centres to Blue Diamond. Wyevale had instructed Christie & Co to manage the process to sell all of its stable of 145 garden centres. This follows news that Edinburgh Woollen Mill had withdrawn its interest in taking over the garden centre chain.
Blue Diamond is understood to be planning to invest £16 million to rebrand the acquired garden centres under its Redfields Garden & Living Centre fascia.
In other news, two further Wyevale garden centres have also been sold, to date, for development.
