B&M closes 49 secondary stores

B&M has temporarily shuttered 49 of its UK stores due to current trading levels. 42 of the shops are located fairly close to larger B&M stores whereas others are located in shopping centres that have largely ceased trading. The business continues to trade from its other stores and has increased shop staff wages by 10 per cent in a gesture to thank them for working during the coronavirus pandemic.
