Boden has appointed Glen Senk (pictured) as its new executive chairman, with Julian Granville moving to the role of deputy chairman. Senk held the role of CEO of URBN, the business which operates Anthropologie, Free People and Urban Outfitters, until 2012 & has been a non-executive director of Boden for four years. Boden is planning major expansion in overseas markets including the US, with 65 per cent of its sales now coming from outside the UK.
Johnnie Boden commented: “I have known and admired Glen for many years. He must be one of the best fashion retailers in the world. He combines an amazing creative understanding with a razor-sharp analytical mind. I truly believe Boden can double in size. We have huge opportunities in all our markets but especially in the US.”
