Bunnings drops Nectar points scheme

Bunnings, the new owner of Homebase, will withdraw the store chain from the Nectar loyalty card scheme at the end of December. Homebase had used the scheme for seven years but Bunnings is instead focusing on developing a competitive pricing proposition and introducing a number of Australian brands into the UK stores. In its home market, the chain stages DIY “how to” events for consumers and is renowned for its aggressive TV advertising.
