Burberry posts modest revenue growth

Burberry has revealed its results for the 53 weeks to 2nd April 2022. Revenue, at £2.83bn was up from £2.34bn for the 52 weeks to 27 March 2021.

The business commented that the year had presented a continuing challenging external environment but that localised marketing had supported store sales. The business remains alert to the effects of the latest Covid-19 lockdowns in mainland China which had impacted its sales in March.

Jonathan Akeroyd, CEO, said: “Burberry is a unique British company with an extraordinary history and heritage and it is a privilege to take the reins in this next phase.”
