Carpetright’s CVA plan has won the full support of its creditors and the business will now close 81 stores as well as seek rent reductions from landlords of more than 100 of its remaining outlets. Meanwhile its rival Tapi has declared that it will snap up stores closed by Carpetright. Tapi is headed by the son of Lord Harris, the original founder and past CEO and chairman of Carpetright.
