Sportswear brand Castore posted £115m in sales for the year to 31st January ’23, up from £48.83m for the previous year, and with pre-tax profits of £14.67m as against £8.06m.
The business had grown its team from 174 to 399 during the year whilst continuing to develop partnerships with professional sports teams in the UK, Europe and the USA.
Castore said: “Performance has continued to be strong due to the growth across the digital stores and wholesale channels. In addition, we will continue to grow our wholesale channel and expand internationally.”
The brand has come in for criticism recently due to the quality, technical performance and availability of its replica football shirts. Newcastle United ended their 3 year contract with Castore in September, after only 1 season and Aston Villa, who recently signed a ‘multi-year’ deal may follow suit.
