CatEx unveils TV shopping channel


CatEx Direct Commerce Association, the trade body representing
the catalogue and multichannel retail sector, has formally
announced the launch date of its brand new TV home shopping
channel as Tuesday, 14th February 2012.

The new “as live” channel will be called The Dept
Store and will feature a number of CatEx DCA member companies
selling a range of products including cosmetics, homewares,
collectibles, home entertainment and apparel.

The channel is being launched exclusively for CatEx DCA member
companies and is coordinated and managed by The Broadcast House,
a division of CatEx Gold Sponsor company the Specialist Works.
The team is also behind the successful Pavers Shoes TV channel,
which launched in April this year.

Those who’re already confirmed as having signed up for The Dept
Store are mineral cosmetics firm Lily Lolo; home entertainment
specialist Choices UK, a division of the Webb Group; collectibles
marketer Atlas Editions; lighting expert Serious Readers and
Pavers Shoes, which will be presenting a “Best of
Pavers” slot.

The launch of The Dept Store is an exciting development for CatEx
DCA as it will enable member companies to move into the TV space
with lower costs and great sales opportunities.
