Cath Kidston has increased its annual sales to £116 million during the year, to March 30th 2014, which saw it open 34 new overseas outlets including a store in Shanghai. Overseas revenues accounted for 40 per cent of all sales and the brand continues to open stores in the Far East where it enjoys strong demand. A £2.1 million profit was achieved before tax and exceptionals, compared with the £600,000 loss recorded for the previous year. Cath Kidston has 66 UK stores including a 7,000 sq.ft. flagship in London’s Piccadilly. The business continues to seek a buyer.
