China takes to TV shopping

New Zealand meat producer Silver Fern Farms has found China to be one of its largest markets and in recent tests of online and TV shopping channels the business sold 12.5 tonnes of beef in just 30 minutes. The packaged prime cuts of beef and lamb produced by the business are finding strong demand from the more affluent Chinese consumers reached via TV shopping shows,  creating a much more profitable export market for the business than it could achieve by selling via overseas supermarkets.
