Clarks CEO and CFO exit the business

Clarks has commenced a search for a new CEO following an increasingly difficult period for the business which had seen the sales fall by 3.2 per cent for the most recent financial year. Melissa Potter who had held the CEO role had been with the Somerset based business since 1988 and had risen through the ranks. Her duties are being assumed by chairman Thomas O’Neill until a permanent replacement is found.  CFO Robin Beacham has also stepped down  and will be replaced – in the interim – by Mike Coley who holds the position of group financial controller.
