Clarks to close more UK stores

With its sales continuing to fall and losses growing Clarks finance director Paul Kenyon has warned that “a meaningful number of stores will close over the next five years.” According to the retailer, which posted a loss of £82.9 million for 2018-19,  footfall had reduced by 6.2 per cent during the year, and it is now moving at speed to close its worst-performing sites.
