CMO Group files strong results, targets acquisitions

Online pureplay CMO Group which specialises in building materials, targeting both trade and serious DIYers, has posted annual sales of £76.3 million for the year to 31st December 2021, up from £52.4 million in the previous year.

The business had joined AIM in July. Its chairman Ken Ford commented: “Full-year revenue and adjusted EBITDA are both in line with expectation, and the well-publicised supply chain and logistics difficulties having been expertly navigated. These challenges, coming on top of two unpredictable years of pandemic-related lockdowns, have demonstrated the robustness of the model, and the team.”

Dean Murray, CEO added: “We continue to pursue a pipeline of acquisitions in conjunction with organic growth to add specialist verticals as demonstrated with the launch of plumbing superstore in Q3, and the launch of the homeowner project store in Q4. Trading for the first quarter has remained strong and the board is confident that CMO will deliver continued growth in the year to come.”
