Cox & Cox posts strong sales growth

It’s been another good financial year for Cox & Cox, which has posted ‘strong’ increases in sales and orders.

In the year to 31 January, the online interiors retailer reported a 75 per cent uplift in sales. Thanks to a busy Christmas trading period, the volume of orders was also up 68 per cent compared to the previous year.

For the year ahead, Cox & Cox’s spring/summer season launch, featuring over 400 new lines, has already been well-received (up over 200 per cent against the equivalent days in 2020). While increased press and social media presence has, the company says, helped improve revenue per customer and more than halved the cost per acquisition for new customers.

The eCommerce brand has further increased its range of home office furniture for 2021 to cater to the increased number of people working remotely on a more permanent basis. This follows a surge in sales during 2020, which saw furniture was up 149 per cent. While desks sales alone were up 831 per cent and office chairs up 2036 per cent for the Quarter on the previous year.

Mobile continues to be a strong proposition, with nearly half (48 per cent) of revenue coming from a mobile device in Q4, and 67 per cent of users using mobile to view the Cox & Cox website.  It plans to focus more on this, while also promoting its new, user-friendly Room Builder software – an augmented reality experience that offers customers the opportunity to design their own living room or home office online.

We have planned meticulously to cater for the needs of our ever-growing design-conscious customer base to ensure we can provide them with the products they need to make the most of this new way of living.”
