Cyber incident disrupts TFG London brands

TFG London is investigating a cyber security incident affecting IT systems used by Phase Eight, Hobbs and Whistles. Parent company The Foschini Group said the incident was identified on 11 October. It activated its incident-response and business-continuity plans and brought in external cyber security specialists.

Stores operated by the three brands remain open, although several IT systems were still unavailable when the group issued its update on 13 October.

Inside Story and White Stuff are not affected because they operate on separate systems. TFG’s businesses in Africa and Australia are also unaffected.

The incident has been reported to the relevant UK authorities. TFG said it was working to establish whether personal or other sensitive information had been compromised and would notify affected parties if necessary.
