DCA member company David Nieper has been named Manufacturer of the Year in the National Make UK manufacturing awards as well as taking the National Gold category for Sustainability and runner up in the Developing Future Talent category. As well as its commitment to sustainability the company is opening its fifth factory in the UK for the digital printing of fabrics and is the first ever fashion business to be named Manufacturer of the Year. Recognised for its commitment to reviving employment opportunities in its locale, Alfreton, Derbyshire, David Nieper also supports education in the area and offers apprenticeships. Managing director Christopher Nieper was awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours List and is a past recipient of the Direct Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award.
