Musical instrument retailer Dawsons has been acquired by Vista Musical Instruments which is part of Caldecott Music Group, a business headquartered in Singapore.
Meng Ru Kuok, CEO of Vista Musical Instruments commented: “As one of the oldest music retailers in the UK, Dawsons holds a special place in the hearts of musicians and fans alike around the country. Countless musicians have found their first musical instruments or made their initial foray into the world of music through Dawsons.”
Dawsons has had considerable challenges over the past few years having been sold out of administration in May 2020 and again in September 2021. It had operated with six retail stores and an online operation but of late traded from a single store, with a separate warehouse in Haydock.
