Sun European Partners LLP has announced that one of its affiliates proposes to sell its investment in DBApparel (DBA), the designer and manufacturer of branded women’s and men’s undergarments to Hanes Brands Inc., for 400 million Euro.
Headquartered in Rueil-Malmaison, France, DBA designs, manufactures and distributes brands including Playtex, Wonderbra, DIM, and Shock Absorber. It has a strong presence in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Belgium and a number of emerging markets. Its products are sold via traditional channels including department stores, retailers, wholesalers, mail order as well as specialised chain stores and mass market retailers.
DBA was acquired from Sara Lee Corporation in 2006 and has since undergone strategic repositioning and operational transformation.
