Debenhams has set about reducing its head office headcount following poor trading results. Those known to have been made redundant are long term employees and include heads of buying Diane Frankel and Alice Duggan, trading director Paul Baldwin, heads of design Julian Fuller and Russell Fish, and director of buying Rob Faucherand.
A consultation process had been underway since the retailer announced that it was seeking to simplify its processes and reduce complexity across its business in stores and at head office. It is understood that there will be other departments facing radical change.
